Dadar is the neighbourhood next to our Matunga East studio, and we collect from both sides of it: Dadar West including Shivaji Park and the Ranade Road shopping stretch, and Dadar East including Hindu Colony and the streets around Dadar TT.
More than anywhere else we serve, Dadar is where Mumbai buys clothes for occasions. The saree and wedding-wear shops around Ranade Road and Kabutarkhana, and the flower market by the station, make this the part of the city where the good pieces are bought — which makes it the part of the city with the most of them hanging in cupboards afterwards.

A silk saree, a lehenga or a sherwani bought around Ranade Road has a predictable life: worn once, packed away, brought out years later with a stain nobody noticed and a fold-line that has become permanent. First cleaning and proper storage prevent both, and both are Couture Care work rather than ordinary dry cleaning — hand finishing, and acid-free packing rather than a polythene bag.
Couture CareThe maidan has been turning out cricketers for a century, and cricket whites are a genuinely awkward garment: grass, red-ball leather and mud, on the one fabric where a grey cast is immediately obvious. Worth treating by hand rather than hoping a hot wash does it.
Laundry & PressHindu Colony’s tree-lined low-rises are among the oldest continuously lived-in flats in the city, and the wardrobes reflect it. Wool that needs its moth damage repaired rather than replaced, a jacket that fits too well to give up on — rafu, darning and alteration sit alongside the cleaning rather than being a separate errand.

Yes. Heavy silk, zari, hand embroidery and bridal pieces are handled under Couture Care, priced individually after we have seen the garment rather than from the rate card. Acid-free packing for storage is part of it.
Matunga East — ground floor, Chandrakutir Apartments, Bhaudaji Road, near King’s Circle. It is the neighbouring area to Dadar, and it is a walk-in shop, Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 8 PM.
Basic sarees are on the per-piece rate card, which you can see in full on our prices page. Heavy silk, zari and hand-worked pieces are not, and deliberately so — they are quoted individually once we have seen the garment, because what the work involves varies far more than a table can express.
